Chen Chen
is a product engineer for Lam Research Corporation. Having joined Lam Research in July 2018, he has been developing new tools and features for making state-of-the-art semiconductor chips and supporting customer fab operation with in-lab test and data analysis. Before joining Lam, he was a PhD student in Prof. Michael Crommie's experimental physics research group at UC Berkeley. His interdisciplinary research focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel low-dimensional materials. In particular, he investigated the on-surface synthesis and local electronic properties of graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). In his free time, he enjoys traveling, sleeping, and playing sports. He is a huge football fan and hates the fact that it has to be called soccer in the US.
